This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for August 20, 2007:
i believe human culture is progressing at an exponential rate due to the speed of the exchange of information which allows culture to expand very quickly. as far as how much good this will do us? i think it could help a lot with understanding more, faster. hopefully this will help with advances in medicine. i think also that this will make younger people be able to come up with amazing ideas for helping with the problems of humanity we will face in the future. my hope is that the younger people with the aid of the immediate exchange of information available on the web... will be amazing and work on things like understanding the brain and how it really works. also advances in medicine allowing people with brain injuries today to be much better off within ten years.
the decline of a culture? the culture here in the united states is in its infancy. other cultures? well, all cultures are being influenced by information exchange on the internet. all cultures are starting to lose some of their boundaries and become more 'mixed' which is a good thing. i think that in the future we will have an amalgam of different cultures composing one world culture.
